How it works

From your first call to a matter that's behind you.

A clear four-phase process — so you always know exactly where things stand, what we're doing, and what comes next.

The process

Four phases, one point of contact.

01

Free consultation

You tell us what's going on — a dispute, creditor pressure, an employment issue, a contract you're unsure about. We listen, ask the questions that matter, and tell you straight whether we can help.

Typically 30–45 minutes · No cost, no commitment
02

Strategy & engagement

If we're a fit, we put together a plan: what we'll handle directly, in what order, and whether affiliate counsel needs to be ready to step in. You see the scope and the cost before you sign anything.

Typically 3–7 days from the consultation
03

Active representation

This is the work. We take over communication, negotiate and settle, prepare documents, and coordinate affiliate counsel on anything that requires a licensed attorney. You get regular updates — and you stop fielding the calls.

30 days to 12+ months, depending on the matter
04

Resolution & stability

Once the immediate pressure is off, we help you put structures in place — payment terms, vendor agreements, succession planning — so the same problem doesn't catch your business twice.

What to expect

What changes the day you engage us

Working with BizDefenders isn't a long, paper-heavy ordeal. Here's what shifts right away — and what unfolds over the following weeks.

  • Within 24 hours — we notify the other side that we now represent the business. Their calls come to us, not you.
  • Within the first week — we open negotiations on the most pressing matter. If a deadline is looming, affiliate counsel is already lined up.
  • Within the first month — initial terms and settlement offers start coming back. We bring each one to you for a decision.
  • Throughout — a direct line to your team. No phone trees, no ticket queues. If something changes, you hear it from us.

How the engagement actually works

Do I need an active dispute to work with you?

No. Many clients keep us on for ongoing business counsel — contracts, employment questions, the day-to-day. Others come with a specific matter. Both work, and the earlier we're involved, the more options stay on the table.

What do you need from me to start?

For the free consultation, just an honest conversation. If we engage, we'll need the relevant documents and a clear picture of who's involved. We tell you exactly what to gather — no scavenger hunt.

When does affiliate counsel get involved?

Only when a matter genuinely requires a licensed attorney — litigation, certain filings, legal instruments. We handle the negotiation, settlement, and advisory directly; when a lawyer is needed, we bring in our affiliate counsel and coordinate it for you, so there's no scrambling to find one.

Will I work with senior people or get handed off?

You work directly with the people on our team page. No call center, no rotating junior staff. The person you talk to is the person handling your matter.

What does it cost?

The initial consultation is free. Engagement cost depends on the work — ongoing advisory, a single negotiation, or a matter that needs affiliate counsel each price differently. You get a clear, written scope and fee before you commit to anything.
